The Adaptive Human-Robot Teaming Lab
Human-robot teams are deployed in a wide range of dynamic domains: search and rescue, inclusive social robotics, to industrial collaborative settings and the Mars Rover. These domains require robotic teammates capable of understanding the human's intentions, actions, and internal state in order to promote fluid, natural team collaborations. The AHRTLab at RIT focuses on adaptive and scalable solutions to enable human-robot teams to outperform state-of-the-art methods. This is accomplished by combining human factors knowledge with artificial intelligence algorithms within three major focus areas: robust human modeling, human-aware reinforcement learning, and inclusive social robotics.
