The AHRT Lab is always looking for motivated researchers to join our team. We welcome applications from prospective post-doctoral researchers, graduate students, and undergraduate researchers.

Prospective Post-Docs

If you are interested in a post-doctoral position, please email Dr. Heard directly at jrheee@rit.edu with the subject line “Prospective Post-Doc: [Your Name]” and include:

  • A brief statement of research interests (1-2 paragraphs)
  • Your CV (PDF format)
  • Representative publications

Prospective Graduate Students

If you are interested in pursuing a PhD or MS in the AHRT Lab, please email Dr. Heard at jrheee@rit.edu with the subject line “Prospective Graduate Student: [Your Name]” and include the following documents in PDF format:

  • A brief statement of research interests (1-2 paragraphs)
  • Your resume or CV
  • Unofficial transcripts

Note: Funding for Master’s students is typically not available. PhD funding is competitive and based on available grants.

Undergraduate Researchers

RIT undergraduates interested in gaining research experience are encouraged to reach out. Please email Dr. Heard at jrheee@rit.edu with the subject line “Prospective Undergraduate Researcher: [Your Name]” and include:

  • A brief description of your interests and relevant coursework
  • Your resume or CV
